About Tanzania

Where is Tanzania

Tanzania is located in Eastern Africa and borders other popular safari countries in the region. It is neighbored by Uganda to the north, Kenya to the northeast, the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west, the Indian Ocean to the east, and Mozambique and Zambia to the south. Tanzania is also East Africa’s most linguistically diverse country with over 100 different languages being spoken within its borders.

Tanzania boasts a fascinating balance between wildlife, scenic landscapes, tropical beaches, rich history and culture. Naturally, unique and awe-inspiring experiences are not hard to find in this beautiful East African country. From hiking up Africa’s highest mountain and going on exhilarating game drives through the endless plains of the Serengeti to cultural visits to local Maasai tribes and lounging on Zanzibar’s exotic beaches, Tanzania has something for every traveller.

At almost 20000 feet above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain. It is also the world’s largest free-standing mountain.
